The Dante Society
"Midway upon the journey of our life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost."
-Dante, first lines of Inferno
The Dante Society is our group for graduate students and anybody beyond college interested in fostering the Christian intellectual life in Pittsburgh. All seminars are free of charge. Invite your friends!
This spring we are hosting a virtual study of lyric poetry on alternating Wednesdays, beginning January 29th. Dr. James DeMasi and guests lecturers will lead each meeting. RSVP for updates on speakers and poems before each meeting!
We are also continuing our seminar series titled, “Christianity and Modernity,” which meets locally to discuss selected Genealogies of Modernity articles while enjoying good food together once a month. Dr. Ryan McDermott will lead these discussions. Check out our next event in the series here.
