Topic: How Christianity Shaped Western Society

Abstract: Christian practices in the social world of medieval and early modern Europe -- along with other key features -- lent this area several distinctive and enduring characteristics. My work explores these features, focusing on men and women as they lived their daily lives, especially in Europe's towns and cities.
